Day one: Sunday
Our English adventure is officially underway! After arriving today, the students quickly settled in and started getting to know each other. It was great to see how willing everyone was to communicate in English from the very beginning. With every activity, conversations became more natural and confidence continued to grow. Despite the mixed weather, with a combination of clouds, rain and brighter spells, the atmosphere remained cheerful throughout the day. In the evening, the students competed in Ruysschaert’s Team Tournament, taking on a variety of fun team challenges. There was plenty of laughter, encouragement and healthy competition. By the end of the day, many new friendships had already begun to form; a wonderful start to the week!
Day two: Monday
Day two was packed with energy from start to finish! With much better weather than yesterday, everyone was happy to spend more time outdoors. As the students are getting to know each other better, English is becoming the natural language of communication both in and outside the classroom. The first match of the volleyball competition also took place today, bringing plenty of excitement and enthusiastic support from the sidelines. In the afternoon, many students participated in a thrilling game of Werewolves, where they had to convince, debate and bluff in English. The fun continued in the evening with “Minute to Win It”, a fast-paced series of short challenges that kept every team on its toes. It was another memorable day filled with teamwork, laughter and growing confidence in English.
Day three: Tuesday
We have already reached the halfway point of the course, and the week is flying by! The students are becoming more confident every day, making English an increasingly natural part of their conversations. Thanks to the warm weather, “The Submarine Game” was a perfect fit: a lively mix of water-based physical challenges and a quiz that tested each team’s knowledge and teamwork. There was also plenty of sporting action, with both a football match and a volleyball game between two classes creating lots of excitement and friendly competition. It was another fantastic day filled with laughter, teamwork and unforgettable moments.
Day four: Wednesday
The hottest day of the week called for plenty of ways to stay cool and have fun! Between lessons, the students enjoyed exciting water games that provided the perfect refreshment in the summer heat. Those looking for a quieter activity could join the creative cup painting workshop, where they designed and decorated their own cups. In the evening, everyone had the chance to choose from a wide range of optional competitions, including badminton, table tennis, table football, chess and several other games. Whether competing, creating or simply cheering each other on, the students made the most of another fantastic day. With only one day left, the course is already creating memories that will last long after the week is over.
Day five: Thursday
The final full day of the course was filled with memorable moments from beginning to end. Despite the changeable weather, the students stayed enthusiastic and made the most of every activity. They continued working hard in class, further developing both their knowledge of English and their communication skills. Outside the classroom, there was no shortage of action: the volleyball competition reached its exciting final, another football match was played, and the water games once again brought plenty of fun. We also enjoyed the second-to-last singing session before gathering for “Ruysschaert’s Got Talent”, an entertaining evening featuring impressive student performances, interactive games and a look back at the highlights of the week. It was a wonderful way to celebrate everything the students have achieved together.
