Welcome to the blog of our English Course in Maredsous

Sunday it’s the first day of our English Course in Maredsous. We’re looking forward to meeting all of our students and to spending an excellent week together! Believe us, it’ll be an incredible adventure. With one clear rule: we talk English always and everywhere!

Are you ready for the start of your week with Ruysschaert? You’ll find all the practical information about the English Course via the personal link you’ve received by email. Just to make sure:

  • We expect pupils to arrive between 10h30 and 11h30. On arrival you’ll receive the first practical information. Then you can take your luggage to your room and make yourself at home. If you still have time, feel free to get to know the other participants.
  • At noon the director warmly welcomes everybody, parents and pupils, to the opening session, explains the arrangements and calls out the pupils’ names so that they can join their class
  • Then comes the official start of the course.
  • We start with the midday meal followed by the tests and the first lesson.

See you soon!

PS: Are you curious to see how it all plans out on our language course? We post photos and videos on our Facebook & Instagrampage and our blog every day so that we can keep you up-to-date with our activities. We’ll post the first pictures from tomorrow! Follow us @ruysschaertlanguageacademy!

Day one: Sunday

The Ruysschaert year has kicked off again, and we’ve gotten off to a flying start. Students and teachers were eagerly anticipating this launch, so there were plenty of happy faces this morning. After the welcome speech and group divisions, we enjoyed a nutritious and delicious lunch.

Afterwards, we enjoyed a mix of lessons and relaxation, sometimes enjoying the falling snow.

In the evening, we played our social games, and then it was bedtime for our students.

Day two: Monday

Another successful day at Ruysschaert, filled with varied lessons, sporting exploits, and engaging activities. We enjoyed the enthusiasm and commitment to optimizing our students’ English language skills. The volleyball competition kicked off, and we had our first winners of some fun games. In the evening, our students showcased their acquired knowledge during word games.

Day three: Tuesday

The weather might not have improved much, but our students certainly have! We’ll soon have them speaking like genuine Brits! At the end of the day, we organised our fantastic Casino games, where students had to compete for an amazing prize in a variety of activities. Tomorrow will undoubtedly be equally exciting and we can’t wait!

Day four: Wednesday

There were no sixes or sevens at Maredsous today as we were all dressed to the nines for our class pictures. We can’t believe it’s Wednesday already. Time really does fly when you’re having fun, but not as much as we’re flying through grammar, exercises and games. Let’s see what Thursday holds!

Day five: Thursday

After a full week of learning English and immersing ourselves in the culture, we celebrated our talents and winners in our very own talent show. Some of those talents participated in workshops throughout the day and showcased their creativity, while others boasted of their achievements in various sports. What a day! Let’s finish strong on Friday!
